Korts Heart appointment

Kortney went in for her heart appointment. She is having a little problem and looks like she will need to have her surgery within 6 months. Her Aunt Ashley came with us to the appoointment and it was a good thing. Mommy had a hard time getting the news that the surgery would be so soon. Kortneys little heart has one side getting bigger then the other and so the Doctors feel that it would be best to do the surgery sooner then later. The pictures are from her EKG which looks bad but it didnt hurt her besides holding her down and taking the stickers off. The ECHO was hard because she had to sit still for over a hour while they took 170 pictures of her heart. I know that it's better to get it done sooner then later, I just wish it never had to be done. My baby is going in for open heart surgery and I'm a little scared. I know all our family will keep us in their prayers and thank you all so much for that.

Carving Pumpkins

Ohhhh the fun of pumpkin carving! We took a trip to the pumpkin patch and got to see the "great pumpkin" the kids had a lot of fun trying to pick the perfect pumpkin..though Kort got a little side tracked watching the man walk around with a pumpkin on his head! We got home, and wala, started the amazing, messy carvings. They all dug in and had a fun time picking out the insides. Kylie is getting more creative with her carvings, Kassidy is all about size (her's was the biggest), Dallas wanted scarry, and Kort just had fun. Even though it was messy it was fun!

A Day at the Park!

So instead of going to church today I decided to take the kids to a park that we went to when we lived in clearfield. It has a great playground and then a awsome pond/creek that you can feed ducks, geese, all kinds of birds! This was a first for Kortney and she was so amazed and had a blast, she almost got bit because she would hold the bread till they would take it from her. I kept telling her "throw it Kort". Dallas had a blast and kept laughing at one that had a mo-hawk. We talked the trail and had a great day, one of the best since we have moved back here to Utah. As I watched my 4 children hold hands and skip along the path my heart took a picture (and so did my camra). I need more days like this one!

I want to make a post to tell all my Kentucky Friends thank you for all you did for me. I found out what "home" feels like and have missed it since I have left. I meet some great people and life long friends during my short time there and know that I came there to have all of you apart of my life. You are all amazing people and will never forget the time I got to spend with all of you.

I cherish all my friendships that have taught me how to not give up, that I'm stronger then I think I am, and that one day I will have that respect, love, and joy in my life that I have missed for so many years. I truly don't think I could get through these times without all of you,

So let me tell you all thanks so much for your Love and the examples you are to me.

A single Mom

So, what can I say. Being a single Mom is much harder then I even thought it would be and I thought it was going to be hard. My kids are adjusting just great which is really good, but I still have some work to do. The latest is that I have to go get a full-time job, something I was hoping to avoid for my kids sake. And I'm hoping to get a few things settled this week so I can start feeling better about where my life is headed. Lucky me I have Kim here to make me laugh! We went out to "Maddox" which is a great place to eat, and we were laughing so hard at eachother while we were eating that we took pictures and this is a family "joke" that makes everyone always laugh. So for the hard times I think of this!

Dallas First Day of Pre-school

Dallas First Day of Pre-school

Dallas woke up, ready for his first day of Pre-school. Got his new school clothes on, back pack, shoes, and still had a hour to wait. We went to Aunt Kimmy's to take some pictures and then headed off to school. He was the first one there and couldn't wait to get in the door. His darling teacher had his name laminated on a flower, he picked it up and placed it on the wall next to the flower stem, he hung up his back pack, then sat down at the table with a big smile on his face. My heart melted and I was so happy for him and glad he was so excitted to be there.

Roy- What a work-out!

Thanks to my great friend Shantell, I have had the chance to re-discover the Gym. It has been about 3 months and I have been involved in cardio classes, Pilate's, and recently working with a personal trainer "Roy" getting my body back into shape. This has been such a great focus for me right now, and I call it my "anger management" class. Roy has been a great example, he has lost over 100 lbs. and got his body into amazing shape. And if you have not heard me say it before, it's always easier to take work-out advise from someone who has been through it them self then someone who has never faced the challenge of loosing weight. I miss all my work outs with Roy and although I am continuing my daily workouts, it's not the same without Roy and my "peeps".

Home in Utah

I'm all moved into my new home in Utah. We are all doing well and have started to make friends and get into the swing of life here. It will be nice once school has started and the kids are occupied. I'm looking forward to getting into a routine and getting to a point of feeling like home again. Still missing Kentucky and all my peeps!

Last weeks in Kentucky

I am spending the last few weeks in Kentucky having fun with friends and trying to cherrish the beautiful state I live in. I will miss it here very much, it has been an amazing ride and I have cherrished every minute of it. I love all of my fellow Kentuckyins and you will always have a special place in my heart. I LOVE YOU!

Summer Fun

Our Summer has been filled with spending time at the new Richmond Pool with Friends. Nikki's Friend Stacy and daughter Alysa are our "Pals" we do about everything together and the girls fight over who gets to spend more time with Alysa (I tell them she wants to just take care of Kortney). Jenny and her niece Savannah from Arizona spent a lot of time with us, Jenny is pregnant and will have to take some time off here soon. My friend Cari and Nikki brings there children to the pool also that allows Dallas to have a buddy and Kortney to get in on some fun playing time. Kylie and Kassidy are enjoying all the fun in the sun. Kortney is not afraid of the water anymore, and Dallas has taught himself how to swim. Nikki gets to sit on the side getting tan! What's Up!

Summer has been filled with the sun, and up till this point not much change has gone on here at home. I'm expecting to make a decision this week on where I will be living and in what state, it will depend on quite a few factors. I will always keep my family and friends posted of new developments, so for now...We are having fun in the sun and spending our time with our friends.
